A story that began in 1973, in Cascais, following the dream of offering the best fish and seafood in idyllic locations. A promise that has been carried on from generation to generation.

From Guincho to the Tejo River, passing through Time Out Market and ending at Ponta da Piedade, the breathtaking landscapes, the attention to every detail and the family relationship with our staff and customers make every visit to Monte Mar unique and memorable.

At our restaurants we offer the best Portuguese flavors, where the hake fillets with tartar sauce and cockle rice are the stars of our menu. Prioritizing traditionality, Monte Mar's flavors were perfectly thought out by Chef Laura Rocha who, in perfect harmony with her husband, Carlos Rocha, and all those who work with them, are the ideal addition to our family.

The seabass was the freshest and softest I've ever had.

It's so tasty with almost no seasoning needed. The sweet onion and potato was the perfect combo. Truly appreciate the care in preparing such a simple yet unforgettable meal!

The food was absolutely delicious.

The oysters were enormous and the garlic prawns were my favourite thing I ate while in Lisbon. The restaurant is a bit out of the way but the views are amazing, and sitting at a table by the waters edge was so peaceful and scenic!

Quite expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Not the cheapest, but worth every penny. The staff was super friendly and professional. The food and drink was great.

And the view at sunset was simply amazing.

The red wine sangria was top!

Luis will make you feel at home! Amazing and kind, always available to satisfy client’s needs! The rest of the staff is also amazing and friendly, but Luis is outstanding!!!

This is a great spot for seafood on the water.

It's a big place but in spite of that, the service is very personal and the food quality was excellent. We went at Sunset and it was beautiful

We were looking for a good Paella place and it was recommended on Google.

When we arrived, after we were welcomed very friendly by the lady at the door. The waiter told us they have no Paella unfortunately, but something similar, that we might enjoy, which is called Seafood Rice and is served for two person.
We decided to stay and try it and it was the best decision.
Everything we ordered was extremely delicious!
The oysters very fresh and tasty, the wine recommendation of the waiter very light and dry, just like we wished.
They also offered us some bred with Butter and Olives which were delicious.
The food was served very fast and the waiter was one of the friendliest we had in a while.
We recommend 100% Sea Food lovers to eat here

Beautiful restaurant with unique view overlooking the sea shores.

We’ve tried lots of sea food - all brilliant, fresh, and prepared in traditional ways. The broths were full of flavor and the breaded fish super tender.

Fantastic seafood with unbeatable ocean views!

Everything we ordered — from the garlic clams to the fresh grilled fish — was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. A must-visit for anyone who loves great food by the sea. Will definitely come back!
